It operates 10 logistics terminals from Arica to Puerto Montt, managing thousands of shipments per month for industries such as retail, manufacturing, and mining. THE CHALLENGE

Our client used a PowerApps application to manage the approval of cargo rejection requests. However, the process was inefficient due to the constant need for direct communication between operators and managers. The lack of an agile communication channel caused delays in approvals, affecting logistics efficiency and compliance with internal policies and industry regulations. Additionally, the company faced challenges in tracking conversations and maintaining an auditable record of approvals, increasing operational risk.

THE SOLUTION

Baufest designed and implemented a real-time bidirectional chat system integrated with Microsoft Teams and SharePoint. This solution enables operators using the Canvas App to communicate instantly with managers via Teams, significantly reducing approval times and minimizing delays. All conversations are automatically recorded and securely stored in SharePoint lists, ensuring full traceability, efficient auditing, and regulatory compliance. The system seamlessly integrates with existing workflows, improving efficiency without disrupting established processes.
