DIGITAL MARKETING AND LOYALTY SOLUTION FOR TRAVEL CLUB

THE COMPANY
Founded in 1996, Air Miles España is a Madrid-based company specializing in marketing and loyalty services for major Spanish companies such as Banco de Sabadell, Iberia, Grupo Eroski, and Repsol.
Through Travel Club, the company rewards members for their everyday purchases with points that can be redeemed for trips and/or gifts. Since its launch, it has become Spain’s most widespread loyalty program, reaching over 6 million households and generating an annual purchase volume of over €10 billion through its partner companies.
THE CHALLENGE
Facing a series of technical issues and negative ratings on app stores, Travel Club needed to quickly and radically revamp its application, which allows members to access information about the company's loyalty initiatives.
The original version was a web-based application, but due to its limitations in offering advanced features—such as access to a catalog of products and stores participating in marketing and loyalty programs—Travel Club required a migration to native code.
THE SOLUTION
The project began with an initial analysis phase, which led to UI and UX proposals reflecting the unique aspects of Travel Club’s multi-sponsor loyalty program. In the second phase, our team of specialists developed the application in a 100% native environment for iOS and Android devices.
The application provides users with various features, such as direct access to discounts and loyalty points. Additionally, it allows geolocation of participating establishments and includes a product catalog from these businesses.
The app is integrated with the client’s CRM, enabling the monitoring of marketing and loyalty campaigns while allowing the sending of segmented and geolocated notifications.
To enhance user experience, drive app adoption, and provide added value, a digital strategy was developed that included gamification processes.
LOS BUSCAPUNTOS
This is a gamification experience combining geolocation and augmented reality (AR) to attract users to different establishments participating in the Travel Club loyalty program.
With AR technology, users could collect virtual gifts distributed across more than 15,000 partner establishments, encouraging app usage and increasing foot traffic to physical stores.
